Dogs can be a good source of protection for your home, and in the event of a break-in. Dogs have spiked senses and react to hearing the slightest of noises, but can your dog fully protect you from an intruder? Well, sometimes intruders are not intimidated by dogs, therefore your pet can not do much to scare them off. It’s much more insuring to have an alarm system in place that can call the authorities in case of an emergency.
According to Alarms.org, “Burglars are most attracted to homes that do not have a home security system, but only 17% of houses have a system in place.” When a burglar sees an alarm system installed, they tend to stay away. Another statistic from Alarms.org states, “83% admitted that they specifically look to see if there’s an alarm; 60% would change their mind if there was one installed.” Over half of intruders asked said they would leave the homes alone if they saw a security system.
Monitored alarm systems have features that can call if you happen to get injured. This is extremely beneficial and can possibly save your life if an injury occurs to you or a family member. Dogs don’t have quite the capability of emergency services.
Get some peace of mind by installing a security system! Your dog can only go but so far when it comes to your protection.
